Join AFRC for an exciting in-person event at the Colorado State Capitol in Denver, Colorado. It’s time to come together and Advocate for Recovery! This event is all about raising awareness and supporting those on their recovery journey.
At Recovery Advocacy Day 202, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, hear inspiring stories, and learn from experts in the field. Together, we can make a difference and promote a more inclusive and supportive community.

Agenda:
*Capitol doors open at 7am
7:30am Food/Coffee on Second Floor in front of Old Senate Chamber
8am - 8:45am inside Old Senate Chamber - Guest Speakers including Tonya Wheeler - Advocates for Recovery Colorado's Executive Director , Gil Romero - Capitol Success and guest Legislators.
8:45am - Group Photo in front of staircase on second floor. (Be sure to wear purple!)
9am - Floor Welcome in Senate and House
Gallery Rules:
Visitors are welcome to watch legislative proceedings from the public galleries on the 3rd floor. ADA seating is available in the galleries.
Please be respectful of Gallery rules:
Cell phones and pagers must be turned off.
Please remove hats.
Food, drink or water bottles are not permitted.
No flash cameras.
Do not lean on or over railing.
Signs or banners of any kind are prohibited
Remain quiet at all times.
No cheering, outbursts, booing, or applause.
Visitors are not allowed to stand at railings nor place any belongings on the stairs or in the aisles. This includes the public, staff, legislators, lobbyists, legislative aides and interns, press.
Guests shall remain quiet at all times.
Applause and cheering are not allowed.
When the Speaker or President bangs the gavel and asks that everyone rise for the Morning Prayer, guests must stand.
